Carom Club Owner Promises Change and Quality with New Name

Albuquerque, NM (PRWEB) June 18, 2008 -- The Carom Club in Albuquerque has all of New Mexico waiting to see what changes will be brought with a new name, reports the New Mexico Business Weekly, the leading business publication in New Mexico.

"The soon to be former Carom Club is leading in renovations not only on the interior of the business itself, but on the entire nightlife scene in New Mexico," says club owner David Blanc.

According to Blanc, the new name, which has yet to be disclosed, will help bring clientele to his club because it refers to quality instead of price.

The renovations will be finished by late spring, and will help speed up the pace of development in downtown Albuquerque, which will not only bring business to the area, but encourage the city to step up and do something about the negative perception many Albuquerqueans still have of Downtown says Brian Morris, executive director of the Downtown Action Team.

The menu, while simple, has meals that are filling and tasty, and features several pasta dishes, the Texas BBQ Dinner for Two, Salmon Relleños and Salmon with Dueling Sauces. Blanc would like to build his lunch traffic, and has expanded the sandwich selection and sped up cook times. Lunch patrons also can shoot pool for free.

With the new direction of his club, Blanc hopes to bring people back downtown, to provide a mature place with occasional live music and a smart, relaxing atmosphere.

The Carom Club was taken over by Blanc's 202 Corp. last October, from Ramona Biddle, a pro billiards player, who remains a minority owner and teaches a billiards clinic there.
